About the Founder
Hi, I'm Michael Cortez. I am an experienced small business investor and owner that is excited about building a portfolio of small and medium business assets! I currently reside in Houston, TX. I have a diverse background and skillsets. I am a Developer Advocate and Product Manager for a software company that services oil and gas companies. Before becoming a software developer, I worked in hard money lending as a loan originator. The majority of my professional career was spent as a Petroleum Completion Engineer for fortune 500 companies. In that role, I learned project management skills where I planned, designed, executed, managed budgets and improved operations of multi-million dollar oil and gas well projects. In addition, I was an investor and owner of an organic spray tanning salon in Houston, TX.
